With the Filé Linear System Kit you build a wall light that works like a string of lights: 5 m of fabric cable in shade CM27, three lamp holders, and as much cable in between as you want for the swing. The light is spread across three points instead of coming from a single source.
The seven wooden parts are painted white – ceiling rose, three lamp holders, two wall grommets and an end piece. The white keeps the light calm and lets the cable take centre stage. On light walls, the wooden parts recede so that it’s mainly the run of the cable that makes the impact.
The set is designed for indoor use, especially living rooms and bedrooms. Run the cable in a shallow curve above the bed, hang the lamp holders next to a reading corner or draw a line above a sideboard. That way the wall gets light and structure at the same time.
The wall bushings hold the cable against the wall, the end piece finishes it off, and the ceiling rose conceals the connection. Leave the fixed connection to a qualified electrician. Light bulbs are not included; you'll find suitable ones at Lampisto. Individual parts in other colours are available in the "Build your light" configurator.
