Installation Notes

A pendant light made from fabric cable, lamp holder and ceiling rose is assembled in twenty minutes. What you need: screwdriver (slotted, small), wire strippers or a sharp knife, folding rule.

1. Cut the cable to length

Measure the desired hanging height from the ceiling to the bottom of the lamp holder. Add 15 cm for the connection in the ceiling rose. Cut back the covering at the end by approx. 4 cm, strip the wires 8 mm.

2. Fit the lamp holder

Loosen the lamp holder's strain relief, feed the cable through, wires into the terminals: with 2-core cable L and N, with 3-core additionally green/yellow to the earth symbol. Tighten the strain relief until the cable sits firmly – there must never be any pull on the terminals.

3. Prepare the ceiling rose

Feed the cable through the ceiling rose's strain relief, set the length, tighten the strain relief. With multi-outlet ceiling roses, each cable goes through its own outlet, and all wires of the same colour go together into the connector block.

4. Connecting to the ceiling

Switch off the fuse and check that there's no voltage. In Germany, the connection to the ceiling wiring may only be made by a qualified electrician. Fix the ceiling rose to the ceiling with the screws and wall plugs supplied – on ceiling roses with several outlets, always use both screw points.

5. Bulb in, light on

Check the maximum wattage of the lamp holder (listed on the product page). LED filament bulbs barely get warm – fabric cable and lamp holder stay unstressed.

Load capacity

A 2x0.75 cable carries up to 2.25 kg, 3x0.75 up to 3.4 kg – including lamp holder, shade and bulb. Heavier shades need a chain or a steel wire to take the load.
