With the Filé Linear System Kit you build a wall light as a string light: 5 m of fabric cable in shade CM17 carries three lamp holders that you spread along the wall. The result is a line of light instead of a single light point.
The seven wooden parts are painted white – a ceiling rose, three lamp holders, two wall feed-throughs and an end piece. White keeps the light understated and suits light walls, where the coloured cable takes the lead role. This keeps the overall impression light and tidy.
The kit is designed for indoor use, typically living rooms and bedrooms. Above the bed it gives light for reading; in the living room it frames a seating area or a gallery wall. The cable can also be run nicely along a sloping ceiling.
Technically it stays simple: ceiling rose over the connection, cable into the wall guides, end piece to finish. Light bulbs are not part of the set – you’ll find suitable ones at Lampisto. If you’d rather combine other parts, you’ll find everything in the “Build your light” configurator.
