The LED Bulb shatterproof 24V Ambient Dimming matt with E27 base is made for places where broken glass means trouble. A very thin silicone coating holds the glass together if the bulb breaks – it doesn't shatter. On top of that comes Ambient Dimming: as you turn it down, the light becomes warmer, from around 2,700 K to about 2,000 K. For 24-volt DC only, not for 230 V.
The bulb from the Nautic Line by SEGULA measures 60 mm in diameter and 110 mm in length. The matt glass spreads the light softly with little glare. At 6 W it gives around 560 lumens, comparable to a 45 W incandescent bulb.
It makes sense wherever things shake or space is tight: on a boat in rough seas, in a motorhome on bumpy roads, in a caravan or in a 24 V system in the workshop. IP rating IP20 – for dry indoor spaces.
