The Genoese iron chain is 50 cm long and is used to suspend chandeliers and heavier lamps. The iron chain takes the load, while the fabric cable is simply guided and not put under strain – a set-up that makes sense for heavy shades and several pendants on one frame.

We recommend a chain as soon as metal shades weigh more than 1.5 kg. At Lampisto you can combine it with a ceiling rose, fabric cable and a suitable suspension, such as the threaded rod with welded hook. If in doubt, have the ceiling mounting done by a qualified electrician.
