Lampisto comes from lampist – the craftsman who used to build, maintain and light the lamps in theatres, railway stations and factories. Not a designer, not a salesperson. Someone who knew which cable carries which load, and why a porcelain lamp holder doesn't get hot in summer.
This is how we see ourselves: with us you get the parts lamps are made of – fabric cable from Italy in over a hundred colours, lamp holders in metal, porcelain, wood and Bakelite, ceiling roses with one to fifteen outlets, bulbs. Plus a configurator that only shows you what fits together. And if you don't want to build it yourself, you'll find over 1,400 finished lamps for indoors and outdoors.
Why Lampisto exists
We've been trading in lamps for years – from design classics to small-workshop pieces. Customers kept asking the same thing: "Can't I just put it together myself, in the colour that suits my room, in the length I need?" Yes, you can. You just need good parts, reliable specs and someone who answers questions before you order the wrong thing. That's Lampisto.
What we do differently
We ship across the whole EU, and cable sold by the metre always comes as one continuous piece. The configurator checks cross-section, socket and load capacity automatically. Our support knows the parts, not just the article numbers. And if you don't want to do the screwing yourself, you get your lamp assembled.
Who's behind it
Lampisto is a brand of Luxoo GmbH from North Rhine-Westphalia. We're a dealer and lighting planner, not a corporation: short distances, direct answers, and if something doesn't fit, we sort it out without a paperwork battle.
Our manufacturers
Fabric cables, lamp holders and ceiling roses come from the Italian manufacturer Creative-Cables – a specialist in fabric-sheathed cables and matching components since 2011, certified to European safety standards (IMQ, HAR, CE). Finished lamps and bulbs also come from Nowodvorski, Emibig and SEGULA.
